Final TAW Project

The end of the line as far as my three years with The Animation Workshop goes.
It culminated in a project of my own design and with the financial assistance of Visual HF.

This video shows my work process in an attempt to document the choices and thoughts that came to me throughout the experience.

This would be the actual project. It was not quite as fun, because it didn't require any maintenance really, but the expression is the finality of life and the futility of holding on to physical appearances.
Some closeups that can also be found in the first video. The red and blue color is from pasta color, which i inserted into some holes in the ice I had drilled.
I did not know that the color would travel along the wire mesh skeleton, but it worked out in my favor
The wire mesh skeleton had trapped air bubbles as it was being frozen, which gave the colored water a pathway to melt through.
It was my first time attempting to make an ice sculpture by myself and with a wire skeleton inside no less.
I had heaps of fun with it. It has reinforced my yearning for learning about sculpting.
